we used 2 have a Rayburn Royal but it used 2 run on anthracite and was a pain in the arse 2 keep running 24/7 - so we dumped it as not worth converting 2 gas as would not run our central heating as well  - nowadays there are some beautiful models out there for 3 or 4 grand that do everything but my misses is not interested  Sad - will just have 2 wait until they start showing them more on the 'doing up houses' crap she keeps watching

Some of the rayburns are excellent nowadays.  The AGA is the icon of the type though, even if today they are probably no better
